Skincare for Oily and Combination Skin in Humid Indian Weather
Élan Vivre Skin TeamShare
Heat and humidity are a challenge for oily and combination skin: shine by noon, makeup that slides, and pores that look bigger than ever. The instinct is to scrub and strip – but that usually makes skin produce more oil. Balance, not dryness, is the goal.
Oily or combination? A quick check
- Oily: shine across the whole face within a few hours of washing
- Combination: oily forehead, nose and chin (T-zone) with normal or dry cheeks

The balancing routine
Morning
- Gel cleanser – gentle and low-foam. Squeaky-clean means stripped.
- Niacinamide serum – helps regulate the look of shine and refines the appearance of pores. Radiance Booster pairs niacinamide with Vitamin C for brightness in a light, fast-absorbing texture.
- Oil-free gel moisturiser – yes, oily skin still needs hydration.
- Matte or gel sunscreen, SPF 30+ PA+++.
Night
- Double cleanse if you wore sunscreen or makeup
- A lightweight hydrating serum
- 2–3 nights a week: a retinoid such as Eternal Glow to keep texture smooth and pores looking refined
What to avoid
- Harsh scrubs and alcohol-heavy toners
- Skipping moisturiser – dehydrated skin often looks oilier
- Washing more than twice a day
- Heavy creams on the T-zone (apply richer products only where you are dry)
Monsoon tips
- Carry blotting papers instead of re-washing
- Change pillowcases often and keep phone screens clean
- Choose water-resistant sunscreen – cloudy days still carry UV
